Shortly before KSW 53, Mariusz Pudzianowski announced that due to injury he would not be able to enter the ring in the evening fight! Soon after, the heads of organizations announced the cancellation of the gala. In the program “MMAgazyn” on Polsat Sport, “Pudzian” referred to rumors that his withdrawal was related to the descent from the payroll.
Despite his great form, Pudzianowski admitted that his injury is not yet healed. – I have orders from doctors to move. I say this is active rehabilitation. I only get the signal, the phone and immediately lie down, I fix it. Let’s not get into the details of what it is, but it will be a few days off. That is conspiracy theory. If everything goes well, in two months I would be ready to enter the cage – “Pudzian” admitted!
The five-time strongman world champion has entered the cage of the largest Polish MMA organization for eleven years! He made his KSW debut in 2009 when he defeated Marcin Najman in the first round. To date, he has fought 21 duels in the formula of mixed martial arts. He won thirteen of them, most recently at KSW 51 in Zagreb with Erko Jun.
At KSW 53, he was to enter the cage with Quentin Domingos. The Frenchman known under the pseudonym “Ruskov” won four times by technical knockout, and he added the fifth victory to his record by disqualification. In his professional career he lost only once, in October 2019 with Damien Losco.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, KSW 53 and many other sporting events in Poland had to be canceled! Over the next few weeks, the competitive situation should slowly return to normal.
